Clerk of Court

The primary function of the clerk’s office is to maintain the legal records of the court, which fall into the following major categories: civil, restricted (adoptions/juvenile/paternity); criminal; probate; administrative traffic; and child support enforcement. In addition, this office qualifies and calls juror candidates when a jury trial is scheduled; and, if requested by the judge, a clerk will be present in the courtroom to maintain exhibits presented at trial and keep a record of proceedings when court is in session.
